Introduction
Meditation is a practice that teaches us to focus on our breath and let our thoughts come and go as clouds in the sky - then we can come to realize that we are not our thoughts. The practice enables us to come from a place of balance and not to live our lives in reaction. If we can learn to come from a place of equanimity, if we can simply Be, then we can make clearer decisions for ourselves, communicate more effectively, and let our communication come from our calm center. When we sit for any length of time we can connect to a place inside of us that is the truth of who we really are. Meditation is our natural state. Joy is our birthright. Do you have the courage needed to just be?
Meditation is proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, and bring clarity, and peace.
As a teacher who has trained in the healing and meditation arts for more than 20 years, I am delighted to share these ancient practices that are a refuge for all. My teachings are wisdom teachings from my teachers and my teachers teachers.
Let me help guide you to create your own meditation practice. It is much easier for a beginner to meditate with guided instruction as well as it is to meditate with others. Together we will sit and I will share with you the background of the practices. I will give you simple instructions to the practices and lead you in guided meditations followed by Q&A in each session.
